The Congregation of the Religious of Mary Immaculate was founded by St. Vicenta Maria in 1876 to meet the crying need of her times…. Young girls, because of economic difficulties and lack of education and skill had to engage in domestic work in the big city of Madrid, Spain …. and subsequently, all over the world girls had to move from rural areas to study and work in big cities. It was precisely to help these young women to discover their potential, develop socially, educate themselves to fulfill their professional job, prevent them from being exploited and provide them a home away from home in congested cities. In short – to help them develop into beautiful persons yearning towards the Almighty. |
